Just-in-Time Teaching

Aims:
To help students come to class prepared.
To let them learn basic facts and knowledge at their own pace.
To encourage peer instruction.
To allow more class time to be spent on clearing doubts and higher-order thinking.

Process:
Students will be given a reading task a few days before the topic is covered in class. You can learn the concepts at your own pace. After completing the reading task, you will login to EMB to answer a short ConcepTest. There will be 3 questions, 2 of which are conceptual and 1 feedback question, where you can reflect on what you have learnt and raise any doubts you have.

The questions are meant for me to gauge your level of understanding so that I can adjust your learning pace. It MUST be done individually.

Frequency:
There will be 2-3 JiTTs conducted in each term (except term 4).
